Ravenscroft Manor will Return! Better than ever in 2024!
Coming to Allendale, New Jersey October 25th, 26th & 27th!
Something Wicked lurks in the old Ravenscroft Manor in Allendale! It is said that long ago, there lived a Baron from Europe who moved to the Highlands of New Jersey with a wealth of knowledge. Over time the citizens grew used to the eccentric Baron as he would hold lavish parties for the citizens to attend, showing off many antiquities from his many adventures around the world. However, his parties were usually followed in tragedy. Some of the townsfolk would often disappear afterwards, never to be seen again. Many ignored it at first, thinking that they ran off. But it wasn't until much later that the wicked truth of the old Baron was revealed.
A vengeful townsman had tried convincing the townspeople that the Baron was not only the cause of these disappearances, but was offering the people as sacrifices to some eldritch terror. At first, they paid no heed to these ravings... until one night during a horrific storm a loud wailing was heard coming from within the manor. As the booming sound of the Barons voice intensified, the storm had started growing stronger as if to hide the sounds of some horrid creature roaring among the trees of his estate. It had begun to shake the very foundations of the houses of the town and only coming to an end with a loud scream of a woman echoed in the wind and a horrific final roar of said creature.
The townspeople once again tried to ignore it, but finally decided after years of these disappearances and these strange storms... maybe the vengeful townsman was right? Tired of living in fear, a mob of villagers stormed Ravenscroft Manor, looking to make the Baron answer for these suspicions and try him as a warlock. Many went in once they breached the gates, but the onlookers began to hear screams and cries of creatures unlike anything in this world coming from within its walls. The loud shots of muskets and pistols firing inside had only partially muffled the demonic sounds of torment as they attacked the townspeople inside. It had grown even louder as the same roaring creature that had previously stricken them with terror from those horrid nights could now be heard clear as day. With this Eldritch horror now clearly inside the manor, the terrible chanting of the Baron caused the ground shake and an otherworldly a purple light filled the halls and windows. The onlookers outside now panicking with madness and disbelief of what they were witnessing. They had tried to flee from the manor but the trees that surround the estate began to violently sway and even fall to the ground to trap them from escape. Cornered and no where to run, as if to give them a prelude to their own consequences, strange crunching sounds echoed from the walls of the Manor. The screams getting louder until finally in one clap of intense thunder… all had suddenly went silent. At last, the Baron was taken down.
The surviving mob who had laid siege to the manor slowly exited the gates covered blood, black icker and even some missing limbs... But not without dragging the Baron himself out in chains. Still trying to fight back, the Baron defiantly cursed at his captors in some unknown language as they marched him across the courtyard. Other villager brought over bales of hay and wood as the others began tying the Baron up to an massive oak tree in the very center. The onlookers had begun chanting “Kill the Warlock” as the began lighting torches to prepare his trial. Before they could issue their sentence of death... the enraged and defiant Baron’s face began to change. The youthful look of the Baron was now gone, his eyes like balls of fire the glowed with the same purple light as before. “Isn’t it customary to give a condemned man one final request?” And with that… the Baron had placed a horrific curse on the town and all the citizens in it. That as the town had risen up against him, that he would later rise from the dead and make all those responsible pay for their actions, and last for generations to come. Upon the Baron's last words... the same vengeful townsman threw a torch at him to begin his sentence. It is said that the ground quaked and violent storms descended on the town as the Baron burned against that tree. And with his last breath... a wave of purple light exited his body like an unholy beacon into the night sky while a mass of dark tendrils began to leach into the ground. And as the Baron burned… the very manor itself began to shake and scream in terror.
